ZA

Zainudin Ahmad

Retired Civil Servant, Selangor

"I had been waiting more than a year for a response from KWAP and genuinely did not know how to move things forward. Radzuan reviewed my file, explained what was outstanding, and wrote the necessary correspondence on my behalf. Within a few months the matter was resolved. The process was clear from the start."

Lee Siew Fong

Pre-Retiree, Kuala Lumpur

"I came in for the entitlement review because I was not sure my EPF records were accurate after a period of employment abroad. The written summary I received was very thorough — it identified two discrepancies I had not been aware of and set out the steps to address them. Worth the fee without question."

Mohd Bakri Ismail

Former Teacher, Johor

"My pension was reduced when I retired early and I was told the reduction was correct. After engaging Sauh Law, a miscalculation was identified and successfully appealed. Noraini managed all the paperwork and kept me informed throughout. I am glad I did not accept the first answer I was given."

Rohani Putri

Retiree, Penang

"I chose the comprehensive package because my matter had been ongoing for some time and I was tired of managing it alone. Having a single person handle everything — the documentation, the correspondence, the follow-up — was exactly what I needed. Steady, professional, and they kept me in the picture at every stage."

Tan Hock Leong

Retired Engineer, Perak

"I came for the entitlement review without expecting much — I thought it was just to confirm what I already knew. It turned out there was a discrepancy in my service record that had affected the calculation. The summary was clearly written and gave me exactly what I needed to take the matter further."

SN

Suraya Nor

Widow of Civil Servant, KL

"After my husband passed, I was dealing with his pension entitlement claims while still grieving. Sauh Law handled everything respectfully and without rushing me. They communicated in plain language and never made me feel overwhelmed. I would not have managed it alone."

Case Studies

Client Journeys

A closer look at three different situations and how we worked through them with clients.

Case Study 01

Pension Review Reveals Uncredited Service Period

The Situation

A retired secondary school teacher from Selangor contacted us after noticing that his monthly government pension appeared lower than colleagues who had retired at a similar grade. He had no legal background and was unsure whether there was a genuine issue or whether the calculation was correct.

What We Did

We conducted a pension entitlement review and compared his service record against the pension calculation on file. The review identified an eight-month period of service that had not been credited, likely due to an administrative error during a transfer between states. We documented the discrepancy formally and submitted an appeal to the relevant authority.

The Outcome

The appeal was accepted and the service period was reinstated. His pension was recalculated and backdated accordingly. The matter took approximately four months from the initial review to resolution. He has since referred two family members to the practice.

Case Study 02

EPF Dispute Following Employment Record Gap

The Situation

A Kuala Lumpur professional found that several years of EPF contributions made through a former employer appeared missing from her account statement. The employer had since closed. She had received no satisfactory explanation from EPF despite multiple enquiries over the preceding eighteen months.

What We Did

We obtained the relevant employment documentation and payslip records, then submitted a formal dispute to EPF with a clearly structured account of the missing contributions, the applicable statutory obligations, and the documentary evidence. We followed up at each stage of the EPF investigation process.

The Outcome

EPF confirmed that the contributions had in fact been received but not correctly posted to the account due to a processing error. The account was corrected and all amounts — including accrued dividends — were restored. Total time from engagement to resolution: approximately six months.

Case Study 03

Comprehensive Support for Survivor Pension Claim

The Situation

Following the death of her husband — a long-serving federal civil servant — a widow in her sixties found herself dealing with a survivor pension claim that involved incomplete records, a dispute over qualifying service length, and correspondence from two different government departments simultaneously.

What We Did

We took on the comprehensive package, consolidating all correspondence through a single point of contact. We reconstructed the service record from available employment documents, engaged both relevant departments separately, and submitted the survivor pension application with full supporting documentation. We updated our client at each meaningful stage without burdening her with unnecessary detail.

The Outcome

The survivor pension was approved at the correct rate after a review of the disputed service length. The matter took approximately eight months and involved correspondence with two ministries. The client's primary feedback was that having one person handling everything made a genuinely difficult period much more manageable.
